Product of the Month - Lemon Rapeseed Oil
With all this cheerful Spring weather recently and the Fabulous Places Spring market at the weekend, our product of the month has to be our vibrant and refreshing lemon rapeseed oil.
As soon as we get a hint of Spring we start craving lighter dishes than the stews and roasts we have become accustom to over winter. We always find our lemon flavoured rapeseed oil is our go to product at this time of year as it complements so many of the Spring meals we enjoy. It is so versatile too and is a great addition to baking. Try our recipe for lemon and poppy seed muffins.
Some of our favourite dishes at this time of year are:
- Salads - which can be drizzled with lemon rapeseed oil, or the rapeseed oil can be made into a dressing with the addition of honey and mustard.
- Lemon rapeseed oil roasted veg with goats cheese.
- Cheese and broccoli quiche with new potatoes tossed in lemon rapeseed oil and mint.
- Antipasti with balsamic and lemon rapeseed dipping oil.
- Pan roasted fish drizzled with lemon oil and capers on a bed of homemade salsa.
- Not to mention lemon cake!
